Oak Bluffs ad hoc committee advanced short-term rental bylaw to Select Board. The Ad Hoc Committee unanimously approved an amended short-term rental bylaw on August 24 and voted to forward it to the Select Board for presentation at a Special Town Meeting. The committee modified policy language regarding rental of separate bedrooms within single dwelling units to clarify that such rentals require the property owner to reside on premises simultaneously.
Committee member Bill Cleary noted the Planning Board will review the use table on August 27, with Select Board presentation scheduled for August 25 and a target finalization date of October 31 for town meeting consideration.
