Board of Health · Meeting of April 7, 2026

OAK BLUFFS — Health board unanimously backs sewer connection for two failed cesspools. Health Agent Alexa Arieta will draft a letter urging the Wastewater Commission to allow the 24 School Street property owner to connect to town sewer; the Wastewater Department confirmed capacity is available and the plant operates well below the state 80 percent threshold. In a separate matter, the board voted unanimously to uphold the Health Agent's denial of a building permit for a homeowner at 248 Newton Road seeking to add a bathroom to a deed-restricted sitting room, which would violate Title 5 regulations.
