OAK BLUFFS — Commission approves tree removal and pier repairs, defers vista work. The Oak Bluffs Conservation Commission unanimously approved removal of seven cherry trees and pruning of four oak trees at 229 Massachusetts Avenue under supervision of Richard Johnson of Vineyard Environmental, and issued a negative determination allowing pier repairs at 27 Beach Road. The commission also approved immediate removal of hazardous pitch pines at 107 and 109 Barnes Road but deferred vista-channel pruning pending an August 6 site visit to assess runoff impact on the coastal bank.

Two additional applications for septic work were continued to May 21.
