Oak Bluffs Conservation Commission continued a hearing on a Park Street property after identifying wetlands-bylaw violations. The Med Home Construction project for homeowner John Kooyman involves two additions, shed demolition, retaining walls, and landscaping. Conservation Agent Garrett Albiston flagged three problems: a retaining wall over the septic tank, yard fill violating the Wetlands Bylaw, and a rear driveway in the flood zone.

Chair Joan Hughes rejected the driveway plan, citing adequate upper-side parking. The commission voted unanimously to continue the hearing to August 20, 2026, requiring a revised plan. The board also unanimously approved a negative determination on a 52 Marthas Park Road deck expansion and issued a Certificate of Compliance for a 12 Beach Road Extension revetment.
