OAK BLUFFS — Library Board moves forward on circulation staffing. The Oak Bluffs Library Board of Trustees selected member Kathy Taylor to serve on a hiring panel for the Head of Circulation position, vacated when Shivonne departed for mainland employment. Candidate reviews will begin August 4 with interviews conducted August 10-21 by Library Director Allyson, a staff member identified as Junior, and Taylor.
The Board also reported that the library exceeded its annual budget and will draw on state aid to cover the shortfall. Director Allyson updated trustees on her attendance at an Institute of Museum and Library Services convening focused on professional development and grant coordination.
