The board continued a special permit hearing for dry boat storage on 5,750 square feet of a 62,000-square-foot lot at 39 Holmes Hole Road in the R3 district. Applicant John Thayer, who purchased the property in 2023, seeks the revenue to cover mortgage and taxes; home construction would cost $1.2 to $1.4 million.
A site visit is planned to confirm fire apparatus access specifications with Oak Bluffs and Tisbury Fire Department representatives.
