OAK BLUFFS — Planning Board unanimously endorses East Chop Association lot combination plan. Chair Mark Crossland, Vice Chair Chris Chambers, and Member Erik Albert voted 3-0 to endorse the East Chop Association's application to combine two parcels at Summerfield Park without triggering subdivision approval requirements. The unbuildable Lot 2, zoned R2, will retain separate zoning restrictions after combination with Lot 1.
The Board emphasized that its endorsement addresses lot configuration only; zoning compliance and future building permits remain under the Building Commissioner's and Zoning Board's jurisdiction. Separately, the Robin's Nest Subdivision preliminary plan, a 24-lot project on Barnes Road, was referred to the Martha's Vineyard Commission for review.
