OAK BLUFFS — Shellfish Committee recommends exempting outside waters from boat size restrictions. The four-member committee unanimously voted to recommend to the Select Board that Regulation 28 be modified to exempt coastal waters from a 22-foot boat-size limit for scallop-taking vessels, keeping the restriction in ponds and inland waters, said Chair Dan Martino. The committee also unanimously approved a recommended modification to Section 308 of the Shellfish Committee recodified General Bylaws of 2023.

The Community Preservation Committee approved $50,000 for land-based upwellers to be included on the Annual Town Meeting warrant, and members agreed to send another letter to the Select Board regarding dredging concerns at Little Bridge channel.
